PROCESS CERTIFICATION |
. |
Every test wheel that was straightened, using the NBT Global Process was then tested to SAE standards. The wheels met or exceeded all criteria in SAE Dynamic Cornering Fatigue, Dynamic Radial Fatigue and Lateral Impact tests. However, in order to be fully compliant with SAE standards our company needed more than a patented multi-axis method of straightening wheels that are capable of passing such tests. There are additional requirements in order to conform with SAE standards. |
| . |
Another important part of the J2530 SAE standards involves control of process. This means inspection criteria, performance consistency and tracking all repair process. NBT Global dictates guidelines to satisfy these standards. These guidelines comprise the total NBT Global System. |

DECISION FLOW CHART |
Not all bent wheels can be straightened, especially in a mobile environment. The NBT Global process uses several methods to evaluate a wheel before attempting to straighten it. We operate on a controlled regimen of thorough inspection and systematic repair measures. The total NBT Global operational procedure is shown on our Decision Flow Chart. Each step in the process enables the field technician to qualify a wheel by making important decisions accurately and quickly in order to insure a successful job. |
| . |
INSPECTION |
The most important responsibility of the NBT Global operational procedure is inspection. All wheels handled by NBT Global trained personnel are inspected both before and after straightening. They are examined, using dye penetrant under ultra violet light. This testing is a quick and accurate method of crack detection. It is the benchmark procedure for testing critical components in the aerospace, automotive and ceramic industries. |

QUALIFICATION |
NBT Global employs exclusive acceptance criteria to qualify wheels for straightening. As a result of this comprehensive SAE testing, we have been able to enhance this criterion. Not only do we have a formula for qualifying a bent wheel, we now have developed a ratio chart and field template to evaluate both the depth and width of a bend. Each of these three tools enables the technician to assess a bent wheel quickly and accurately. Once cleaned and inspected for cracks, the wheel is measured to obtain the dimensional relationship ratio to determine if the ratio falls within the acceptance criteria for mobile straightening. |
| . |
MARKING |
The SAE standards also mandate that wheels be marked for identification. The NBT Global system requires that all straightened wheels be so marked. The NBT Global mark is registered with the Society of Automotive Engineers and the NBT Global system requires that the registered mark include the invoice number of the field technician. This system insures auditing integrity. |

CERTIFICATION |
All straightened wheels were independently tested and passed all SAE tests. The NBT Global management control System also met all criteria per SAE J2530. On 10/22/2009 NBT Global was awarded Certificate # ITS SAE J2530 009. |
